The Art of Riding a Bike

Practice makes man prefect. A prefect of the road traffic. Once you know how to ride the bike like how you ride in your video games, you become a perfect prefect of the road. It takes time. Like all fruits which come after a long time with the help of suitable factors, a smooth ride is the outcome of one's own labour with some suitable factors.

The Utmost satisfaction any bike rider would aspire for is atleast a smooth ride. Like the old adage goes, 'Pleasure is an interval between two pains'. So too is the smooth ride. The smoothness varies according to roads. Indian roads are smooth enough to produce a rough ride. To add to the quality of the roads, we have the elite class of co-riders on the road who take Indian freedom for granted and make a curvy path whenever their tyres sets foot on the road.  Below the elite class of riders, is the class of riders with whom we must sympathise. They are those who try to impress their girlfriend's in vain.

Let us see about one fellow who wants to learn the art of riding a bike.

Inspired by the heroes of DHOOM, Julian decided to hold the clutch of Karizma bike. On bangalore roads, you don't need a licence to ride one, when you ride with a borrowed helmet on your head. Julian was a fan of Kareena's sister. He desired a ride on Karizma bike. One need not be concerned with the noise pollution created in the roads in broad daylight. So Julian switched on his mp3 player and plugs his newly bought BOSE headphones...At an earlier instance in his life, he had the famed Sennheiser headphones.. Some unavoidable circumstances on the road forced Julian throw the precious Sennheiser.. it became a silencer for him... He was mourning the loss of the bassy, jazzy looking headphones..Another day began in his life, as he got into the lift leading to his office.

He logged in. He checked his mail. He coded. He checked in. He shut down his system. He got into his lift and was down to the parking area. He switched on the ipod. "Petarap.. Petarap.. Evavaaa?? .. " He always aspired to be on the roads. He even dreamt that there would come a day when water would replace petrol and he would be all day on the road.

The world seemed to be quiet for Julian. Even the signal waiting seemed to be a moment in heaven for him when he was listening to his all time favourite playlist on his ipod. He always challenged himself to be an artist on the road. He would draw curves on the road as if he is painting a sketch of a curvaceous glass. The artistic Julian had to meet reality one day.

It happened on 5th November. Remember, Remember the 5th of November. He had seen the movie, "V for Vendetta" the previous night. He had lost count of the V words in the movie. It was a friday. Thank God It is Friday. He changed his google chat status to TGIF with a smiley at the end.  Anyways, as the morning dawned, the world was waiting for him and his Karizma. He was not so charismatic to keep the onlookers turn their heads around... Yet, he tried in vain to be handsome. There was a separate mass which he was trying to hide from the onlookers everytime he walked in his office. He breathed in a lot for that walk from his cubicle to the door.

He zoomed on his bike. He fell on the road. He could say not a word. The story doesn't end here. He is in hospital. His passion for bike riding continues.. And his passion for perfection in this art continues... VRRRRRRROOOOMMM...
